Head writer for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? I couldn't believe it! Some of the things are funny, but it kind of seems cheap. I love AD, not Fallon so much. I am actually quite excited about this! I wonder if this means he will be to busy to Glen Tennis it with T&E. Or if he can get T&E on the show?

Thoughts?

Replace Fallon with Miles and you've got yourself one hell of a show. Extra credit if Miles is in character as Glen Tennis.

I watched up until the interviews of the first episode and didn't think it was too bad. I could have done without the obviously advertising in " lick it for $10" but slow jam news was pretty funny.

I say it's his first week, give him some slack, come back in a few months.

He'll never be as good as Conan.

wow, that might be what causes me to finally watch it. I wouldn't be surprised if fallon succeeds at this though, it seems like he's suited for it.

oh WOW! That's why the show didn't completely suck. I said I wasn't gonna watch but I was just up for the first 2 shows and clicked it on. He's still too twitchy in the monologue and interviews but I liked the youtube and licking segments. And the Bon Jovi karaoke was pretty amazing. His audience even seems to have a good personality. However, if I hear one troll doll song, I'm petitioning for his cancellation.

I agree. No one could ever match Conan. The Walker lever alone makes him unbeatable.

Conan is King. I just don't like this earlier time slot censoring possiblity. :( I love me some masturbating bear. I just don't think Jimmy Fallon could take it to the level of Conan. Fallon is too "clean".

I tried watching the Late Night Show with Fallon, and I wasn't too impressed. I will try it again on another night - maybe A.D. can kick it up a notch!

He did have Cut Copy on there. +point. If you refer to the bands thread, they are in my top 3. I think he has good writers. BUT, Fallon, is a sheltered and clean yet drunken man. Like many of you, I've known his style and reputation since the SNL days. He's a cutie but ick for a personality. If he's lucky, he'll grow into his writers' style. Then maybe, just maybe, I can be proud of my position as a "Fever Pitch" extra. But for now, ashamed. :-[

I listen to a podcast that put it well when the host said "I got nervous watching Fallon". His jitters were part of his SNL stint and I don't think they have a place on late night.

They also mentioned NBC is turning into the SNL network, with like half their show being helmed by recent SNL alumni. It seems kinda cheap. ABC probably has the best original show, but they strikeout a lot of the time, but at least they are trying, NBC doesn't seem to even care for original content, they just recycle old stuff (Howie Do It being the best example of this)

A.D. Miles +point. Still, for late night, Fallon needs to cool out. He needs to relate to the crowds that will be up watching him rather than the time he actually tapes the show. Ummmm have a couple of beers and smoke a few if ya need to Fallon. I know ya got it in you but you gotta CALM DOWN!!! U R 2 TWITCHY! You got a pretty face.

What is this +point?

Also, Aaron, I'm following him, the other day he used the word "Ribbing" in one of hist tweets. I immediately had to watch the shop at home sketch.

i <3 ad miles. i was recently given an opportunity to be an extra in two episodes of david wain's "wainy days" webshow... got to "act" in scenes with ad miles. can die (more or less) happy

eta sadly was disappointed when i found out he was a writer on jimmy fallon's show. i had seen an episode of it prior to having the knowledge he was semi-responsible ¬_¬

I noticed that, he was in a skit that he did with Jimmy on the show. And, just like when I saw him in Role Models, I had to yell "Glen Tennis!" at the TV XD

And while we're on the subject, I couldn't believe it when they announced Jimmy as Conan's replacement. He's always so jittery and nervous looking, it makes me nervous watching him! I always liked him on SNL because he made everyone giggle while they were trying to do their skits, but I don't know about "talkshow host."

I haven't been able to watch it to see if he has improved...
Does the Late Nite show seem to be getting better? Can you tell AD is writing on the show??
