Everyone keep Richard Dunn in your thoughts...

Postby DeeRoozle » Sun May 24, 2009 5:56 pm

UPDATE: Apparently DLH's description was way off. I don't know if it was initially thought to be a stroke or if he somehow turned the story around, but we've been informed that it was not a stroke; something went wrong with his equilibrium and he is doing better. HUGE relief. Still, keep him in your thoughts and let's hope for a full recovery.

Adam Carbone (DLH's website/Facebook manager) just called me on the phone and told me that David had talked to Tanese Gray, who said that Richard Dunn has suffered from a stroke and is currently in critical condition... I hope this isn't true, but Adam is legit and I trust his word.

Please keep Richard in your thoughts, everyone. It's so surreal, he was just modeling goth attire on Talk Show a few days ago.

I really hope Richard is okay. He means so much to the fans, Tim and Eric and to all of us on the boards. He has one of the best senses of humor and you can tell that he has so much fun on the show, and we all have so much fun watching. I'll be thinking about him.

Is anyone in touch with anyone from the T+E family who may know more?

I know this may be in poor taste but I couldn't help thinking about his poem on nite live:

I hope he will be okay.
I know he will be okay.

Sincerely, I hope is alright.
It would be heartbreaking if something horrible happened to such a kind man like Dunn.
It wouldn't be the same.
This sadly reminds me of how...real and mortal everybody is.
I appreciate each person right now.

Salame.

P.S. Sorry if for some reason this post's text comes out weird.
I'm doing it on my phone.

I can't believe that...
I really hope that he ends up okay.
I can't imagine something bad happening to Dunn.
If anyone finds out anymore information later, it would be a relief to hear more updates.

I was so sad and shocked when I read this. Richard is DEFINITELY in my thoughts right now: hoping for him to come out of this OK and also thinking back on all the stuff he's done with Tim and Eric these past few years. He's simply brilliant: an absolute original.

RICHARD: WE LOVE YA, BUDDY.

Not to be in poor taste, but:

::dunn:: PEP-PEP ::dunn::

Absolutely.

This is terrible news. Awesome Show would not be the same without him. I hope and pray he comes through.

Now this is only recommended when a co-worker is comfortable with this approach. I am going to provide my personal cell phone number if you need me to talk you through it.

I'll be praying, but DLH is usually inaccurate about most things, so maybe there is no need to be nervous. I'll call Quall later and see if he knows anything.

I thought someone (Adam?) mentioned on Facebook that Rick Dick was doing better, and that he hadn't actually had a stroke - it was something to do with his equilibrium?

Someone update us on our Pepper! :-(

Hoping for the best. Hopefully it was a friend told a friend told a friend miscommunication, and that he had something minor.

He does look like he might have trouble keeping balance (not making a bones joke, just stating an observation)

The Dunn aint done yet, folks!

The Dunn aint done yet. ::dunn::

It IS a great reminder of how much you should appreciate people. Anything can happen to anyone. Hell, Tim got stabbed by his neighboir kid that one time.

And lots of things come out of DLH's mouth, God bless him. So I wouldn't put TOO much stock in what he says about some things.

Unless he's talking about star Korendor, which he's a noteworthy expert on.

I just saw Adam's Facebook post about Richard. Apparently that's right, something went wrong with his equilibrium and he didn't have a stroke.

I know DLH can be a little off sometimes, but I dunno how equilibrium turned into "had a stroke and is in the hospital in critical condition". Heh.

Anyway, sorry to spread untruths guys. I'll edit the main post.

Notice how Tanese was the first to report that Richard got a bit off-balance? I wonder what was going on??

I think that spaghetti dinner led to some big things!

Hay guyz, this is a bit off-topic, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I was looking at Richard's website, and his resume, and he listed he was an extra in Carnivale. Can anyone point me in the right direction that I could spot him?

I'm getting into Carnivale recently, and it's intense. I extremely recommend it to everyone here. It's pretty unique, honestly the closest thing I can compare it to is David Lynch, but it still has it's own vision. In fact, the little guy in the red room in Twin Peaks is actually a main character.

Oh man! Am I GLAD the ol' Dunnster is gonna be OK! I'll keep him in my thoughts: hope he gets back on his feet again real soon. He just got a little off-balance, apparently? Happens to the best of us. Damn you, David ::hart:: Leiber Mintz!!! Maybe you should stop getting yr news out of the Korendian Daily Times, old buddy!!! jk

@Psilocybin

No clue, but he was ALSO on House. I really want to see that episode.

"House, this man has no bones!"
"No Bones? Or no brains?" (House whips out a guitar and ODs on Vicodin)
